Baby Fat

Ella's birthday party went extremely well (thanks to all who helped). I can't believe I have a one year old daughter and although I don't want to admit it (Kelli) I do now have a toddler. Our cute little girl has lost a bit of weight and has dropped down to the 10% for her age but I'm hoping that more solid foods will help to plump her up. Please pray that God will make my little girl fat!

I HATE STUPID PEOPLE

I absolutely hate stupid people. I am so mad at them for opening their mouths and speaking their confusing thoughts...thoughts which they believe entitle them to be right and they believe you to be utterly damned if you do not agree. I literally am to the point where I can't stand to look at them and talk to them because it's FAKE. ALL FAKE! They spew dissession and then innocently look like a doe in the headlights when questioned about their hypocrisy and inaccuracy, as if, "I didn't do anything wrong! What are you talking about?" AAAAAHHHHH!

Ok, can you tell I need to vent a bit?

On a happier note, Ella took her first steps. She still hasn't figured out how to put it all together yet and really walk but it's something!

Sewing

So I sewed my first set of curtains last night. Not just my first set of curtains, but my first set of anything! I've never sewn anything before, not even a button on a shirt! Anyway, my mother-in-law showed me how and we sewed up some cute curtains for my kitchen which I'm very excited to put up.

Now I'm trying to figure out what I want to do next. I know I'm supposed to take it slow with trying to figure out what my hobby should be, but I just get so excited and go at it full force!

Contentment

I'm amazed that I am becoming more content with myself and my life the older I get. And I'm not "old" by any real standard of the imagination, but I am aging (as I hope all my friends are since that makes them human and not android). But I am just accepting and, dare I say it, liking some pieces of me!

Oh yeah, Vanessa Hudgens annoys me...she's way too pop-tweeny-beeny. Random, I know, but there was a commercial on TV just now.

Drivers

It never ceases to amaze me that the worst and most rude drivers on the road are always the ones with the Christian bumper stickers or the ichthus fish on the back of their car. Seriously people, if you want to represent Christ and you are a horrible driver, take a bus...you can witness to people en route.

On a recent trip to Arkansas I traveled down I-44 and saw some interesting towns I would like to visit. Sleeper, Missouri - this town is just bound to have a serial killer in it somewhere, right? Bourbon, Missouri - this town must have the highest rate of AA meetings per capita. I mean if you leave here alcohol probably does seem like a good option.

I'll be traveling to Arkansas on Wednesday for some lake time/family time. I'm excited but I'm also exhausted even before I start...I think that's a bad thing.

I'm watching the news about the Anheuser Busch takeover by InBev and they're mentioning the unions that will be affected by the takeover. The Teamsters Union? What exactly is a teamster? It sounds like the mafia.

God Give Me Hills To Climb

I was recently reading the blog of a friend and was taken aback by the title, "God Give Me Hills to Climb." Who asks for that? Who of us asks for challenge to shape our characters to be more like His? There is a depth of trust there. There is an unwavering anchor of the soul in the storm to utter a prayer such as that...give me challenges, dear Lord, so that I may relish in You.
